When selecting a nail curing lamp, certain factors should be considered, such as the type of product used on the nails, as different products require specific curing wavelengths. According to the experts at Lime Light, nail curing lamps come in different wattages, typically ranging from 6 watts to 60 watts. They continue: “Higher wattage lamps generally cure the gel faster, but they may generate more heat. Lower wattage lamps may take longer to cure the gel but can be gentler on the nails.
“Look for lamps with multiple bulbs/lights to ensure all angles of the nails receive adequate light exposure. Also, keep in mind that different lamps have varying curing times.”
Make sure the lamp is large enough to comfortably fit your client’s whole hand or foot. A built-in timer with preset curing times can be handy, as it ensures consistent curing.
Look for safety features such as overheating protection and a removable bottom tray for easy cleaning.
Always refer to the lamp’s user manual for proper usage and maintenance.
