Here’s to another 20 years! How quickly time flies! Professional Beauty magazine and our exhibitions have been adding value to the South African beauty industry landscape for two decades.

What an honour to be a part of our main feature article in this issue, looking back on our humble beginnings in 2004 and forward to the future. As the magazine’s first editor, I am proud to congratulate the management team on celebrating its 20 year anniversary.

Our focus has always been on treatments and products that deliver results. This issue is no different. From products that are environmentally friendly to devices that take the aesthetics profession to the next level, the ever-changing and growing beauty industry is an exciting place to be in 2024.

There is also an emphasis on controls and ensuring that all forms of beauty therapy align with safe, healthy, and nationally and internationally recognised procedures. Not only is it our responsibility to provide proper services to clients, but clients are also becoming more discerning and will notice where both products and services are substandard.
