INTRODUCING A DEEPER PEEL THAT SAFELY treats serious skin issues
Combining TCA (trichloroacetic acid) (20%) and retinoic acid (35%), SIX® AESTHETIX’s medium-depth chemical peel is suitable to treat advanced skin problems.
While this peel can develop similar results as the more aggressive and invasive peels, it does so in a more controlled, comfortable and well-tolerated manner.
Retinoic acid is a metabolite of vitamin A₁ that brings about the functions of vitamin A₁ required for growth and development.
How it acts
retinoic acid helps in to normalise hyperkeratinisation or the thickening of the skin’s outer layer, assisting in assisting in peeling off the skin uniformly.
It is deeper than the beta hydroxyl acid peel and is used to remove scars as well as wrinkles and pigmentation problems.
Retinoic acid activates and stimulates epidermal lipid synthesis, which is about the skin developing a protective shield to keep the skin healthy, as well as the components of the extracellular matrix of the dermis (the bulk of the skin which provides strength and resiliency). It also decreases atypical cells.
What it treats
• Premature ageing and sunspots
• Balance skin’s moisture
• Skin whitening
• Acne and acne scars
• Hyperpigmentation, such as, melasma and sunspots.
• Hyperkeratosis or the thickening of the skin’s outer layer.
Possible reactions to treatment
• Tightening sensation may occur through the repeated application of products that encourage reepithelization (the process by which new skin cells grow and cover a wound or injury) and hydration.
• Burning reaction may occur, resulting in a frost or white spots.
• Erythema (redness, rashes, swelling and sensitivity) may appear after a few minutes.
• Intensity of skin peeling will depend on skin sensitivity and tolerance.
