The spirit of power, love, & sound mind
We are powerful and should operate from that true core of ourselves. In our daily lives of personal and business activities we use our body and our soul (thoughts, will and emotions), but should also tap into our spirit. This article gives more insight into the three aspects that can help achieve just this:
POWER
Time management = life management
The only thing you can’t get back is time. Make the best use of time as it’s always limited.
Score yourself on some of the aspect around this:
• All time management starts with PLANNING: rate yourself out of _/10 for effective planning.
• How do you rate with regards to not procrastinating (the action of delaying/postponing). _/10
• Swallow your frogs (things you don’t want to do / big tasks) first thing in the morning. _/10
• Allocate time to tasks to be able to manage the quantity completed in a specific time line and know what needs to roll over to tomorrow, to delegate or to advise will be delayed. _/10
• Have task lists. _/10
• List tasks according to priority, from most important to least. _/10
• Re-do/Update task list daily to have a refreshed and relevant list per day. _/10

• Have habits of using calendars, organizers and planners. Set reminders on your phone & computer. _/10

• Before every call you make, take a few minutes to decide what you want to achieve. Visualise the outcome prior. _/10
• One touch rule. Respond on an email when you open it. Respond on a WhatsApp when you read it. _/10
• Flow = your days don’t work out the way you want. Prepared to pivot so that you can be more resilient on such days. Don’t get stuck at unexpected changes. _/10
• One-third Rule: About a third of your day gets filled with tasks/issues you didn’t allow time for, so make allowance for this in your day. _/10

He also states that leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others, and is quoted to say: “As a leader, the first person I need to lead is me. The first person that I should try to change is me.”
• Whatever you are the expert in, you need to lead in that. Rate _/10 how much you do this.
• Whatever you want to lead in more, you have to learn of more to be the expert in those areas.
• Followers tell you what you want to hear. Leaders tell you what you need to hear.
LOVE
No fear
“The opposite of love is fear, timidity and cowardice.” Score yourself on some of the aspect around this:

Patient = uncomplaining / tolerant / remain calm when waiting or dealing with difficult people/situations.

Common sense/wisdom

Insight/customise
The capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of someone or something is to modify (something) to suit a particular individual or task. Score yourself on the following:
• Awareness / intuition / understanding / discernment / sharpness /far-sightedness _/10
• Build, fit, or alter according to individual specifications _/10

• Smile, make eye contact, ask your client: “how has your day been?” and give a sincere compliment.
• Communication is made up of 55% body language + 38% tone of voice + 7% words.
• The first 15mins of spending time with your client is your WINDOW OF CONTACT to connect and build trust with him/her.
