Marisa Dimitriadis
Francisco Garcia
Jiva Spa director at Taj Cape Town, Francisco Garcia, and spa consultant Marisa Dimitriadis have been appointed the South African ambassadors for this year’s edition of World Wellness Weekend (WWW).
The 7th Annual World WWW takes place on 15 to 17 across 5,000 venues in 139 countries.
Founded by Jean-Guy de Gabriac, WWW is a non-profit initiative dedicated to supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 3, namely Good Health & Well-being for All.
“WWW exists to inspire and empower millions of people to experience fun, free and inclusive wellness activities with friends and family. Through this initiative we can actively help wellness brands and destinations to attract wellness seekers and assist wellness professionals to connect with new clients,” states De Gabriac.
Say Garcia and Dimitriadis: ‘As South African Ambassadors for WWW, we are in a unique position to help spread the message of health and wellbeing across the country. With our support, people from all walks of life can access information about how best to maintain their physical and mental health.
“We are committed to encouraging South Africans to make healthy lifestyle choices, championing the importance of regular exercise, a balanced diet and proper rest. By joining forces with like-minded people, we are helping to create a healthier, more connected South Africa and look forward to inspiring many others to make the same commitment. We are inviting spas around South Africa to participate in our WWW Initiative – all it takes is a commitment of some time, no money is required.”
