Still all the buzz

Several years after it controversially infiltrated the beauty and wellbeing markets, Cannabidiol (CBD) continues to trend in the treatment and retail space

While CBD and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) are both cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, the former is not psychoactive and has certain medicinal properties, hence its use in skincare, body and health products, usually in oil form. THC, on the other hand, is the main psychoactive chemical in marijuana.

DermaFix

The DermaFix brand has a range of CBD infused products suitable for all skin types. Making use of the purest organic CBD oil, these products offer antiinflammatory, anti-oxidant, antibacterial and anti-ageing properties and can be used on all skin types.

DermaFix CBD Oil is a THC free formulation offering additional moisture to dry and irritated skin and assisting to repair a damaged skin barrier. This multifunctional oil can be used on the skin, hair, hands and nails, or ingested for internal antiinflammatory benefits.

The brand also offers the DermaFix CBD Lotion, a lightweight, hydrating and soothing balm for irritated skin, making it perfect for use on problematic skin types. It can be used daily as a serum or moisturizer, according to the skin’s requirement.

Spalicious

Spalicious has 3 xCBD products in its arsenal, including the CBD infused Green Tea & Ginseng Scrub and the CBD infused Muscle Relief Gel.

A luxurious cocktail of delicious oils, the Spalicious Green Tea & Ginseng Infused with CBD Butter nourishes and protects the skin, whilst improving elasticity. The brand’s cannabis infused formula may aid joint pains, sore muscles and skin conditions. Clients can connect with nature and their inner being through the product’s calming and relaxing aroma, whilst enjoying the benefits that cannabis has to offer.

I am me

The aim of the I am me Daily Defense products is to protect the skin against everyday stressors which contribute to dehydration, dullness, sensitivity and ultimately to premature aging.

As part of the active ingredients, cannabis sativa seed oil effectively addresses the tell-tale signs of a stressed skin by calming, soothing and reducing redness. The fact that this oil is naturally rich in omega 3 & 6 and particularly high in gamma-linolenic acid makes it a choice and powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient. Cannabis sativa further encourages cell regeneration, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

TheraVine

Cannabidiol is the hero component of TheraVine’s CBD Bath and Body Oil, a product formulated to promote relaxation and aid in skin nourishment. In addition, the refreshing cocktail of citrus essential oils provide for a pleasant sensory experience.

Both CBD and hemp seed oil have been included for maximum benefits. Hemp seed oil contains the Omega’s 3, 6 and 9 and is known to be calming, soothing and provide anti-inflammatory benefits, while also being super hydrating and nourishing as it strengthens the skin barrier.
