IT’S TIME TO INVEST IN You WITH NSI

NSI Nails South Africa offers training that can help you to turn your passion into a successful career. The best reward you can give yourself is to learn to do what you love, professionally.

Successful nail technicians find pleasure in making clients feel beautiful after every treatment, while developing the art of communicating positively with them. Being a nail technician is a service-driven profession which requires social skills and knowledge.

Skills and knowledge are nurtured when you do formal training through tertiary education.

Before deciding on a facility ask yourself:

• Is the academy known as reputable and professional?

• Are the training methods going to help me as a future nail technician?

• What after training support do they offer, and can I continue grow my skills with them in the future?

Professionalism

NSI Training facilities, our kit contents and course material are a clear indication of the standard of professionalism we strive to teach all our students.

Skills on how to perform a treatment is important but what makes the product “stick” is even more important. That is why, theory training topics such as; the anatomy of the nail plate, understanding the chemistry of the product and educating technicians in working safely to protect themselves and their clients is important to us. Knowledge is Key!

Hands-on training

Nail technicians work on the human body. It is important for the student’s growth and confidence, that there is always an educator nearby to guide you. Basic steps like; how to hold your client’s hand, how to position your brush, monitoring the amount of product being used, can only be taught in a class environment.

To retain what you learn, practise makes perfect. The more clients you do under the guidance of our NSI educators, the more you will trust the process and the stronger your selfconfidence will be.

Ongoing support and upskilling

Every nail technician needs support! All our NSI educators not only have hands-on practical experience on how to do nails, but also have salon experience. This is vital when supporting our students on how to run a salon, as well as the financial business aspect of the salon.

Any troubleshooting or product queries students may have, our educators are always ready to guide, teach and assist. Learning never ends at NSI. We offer a wide variety of upskilling courses and products workshops to suite your needs.

Formal training provides the foundation to your career as a nail technician and possibly at a later stage as an Educator or brand representative. Come be part of our community where education is important to us.

We at NSI want to be part of your journey! For more information on NSI Training or upskilling programs near you, email nails@nsisouthafrica.co.za or go to www.nsisouthafrica.co.za

ELEVATING THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY THROUGH TERTIARY EDUCATION
In the dynamic world of beauty and aesthetics, the pursuit of excellence begins with education. This industry is flourishing in South Africa, offering diverse opportunities for skilled professionals. However, the importance of obtaining tertiary education from accredited institutions cannot be overstated. In this article Nouvique Academy sheds light on the significance of a structured education and the pitfalls of fly-by-night institutions that pose a threat to the industry’s integrity.
ONGOING TRAINING IS NOT NEGOTIABLE
As the world of beauty constantly evolves, the RefectoCil SA Academy believes that ongoing training and educating of beauty therapists is crucial for several reasons, for example, it contributes to the overall professionalism, competency, and success of individuals in the beauty industry.
OUR INDUSTRY NEEDS MORE GRADUATES WITH MASTER’S DEGREES
Lecturers at registered higher education institutions in South Africa are required to have an academic qualification registered at a higher NQF (National Qualifications Framework) level than the level they are teaching or facilitating. For instance, teaching somatology (NQF level 6) necessitates the lecturer to have an advanced diploma in dermal aesthetics (NQF level 7). Further progression typically mandates a master’s degree in somatology. The Isa Carstens® Academy has identified a shortage of graduates holding master’s degrees in this field.
