SA first – MyAbby wins SANA beauty product category in Bologna
Robyn Kramer with the SANA award
The MyAbby Abyssinian Face Oil Rose has won the Product of the Year Award in the Care and Beauty sector at the 34th SANA International Exhibition for Organic and Natural Products in Bologna, Italy.
Says MyAbby founder and owner, Robyn Kramer: “This is an International Buyer’s Award so buyers from all over the world judged hundreds of products, and we won! As this is the first time that South Africa has won in this category at SANA, I believe that our win is a good thing for our country in general, as it puts South African beauty products in the international spotlight.
“I am so proud to have won this award and am also proud of my country. The award was so unexpected; I was busy talking to a visitor at our SANA stand when someone came running up to me, saying, ‘You’ve won! You’ve won!’ It took me a few moments to realise the magnitude of this award and winning it is truly one of the highlights of my life.”
MyAbby was launched in 2016 and is exported into Africa. Kramer is in the process of finalising regulatory compliance for export into other overseas territories.
The Abyssinian oil used in the MyAbby range is sourced from the Crambe Abyssinica plant (native to the African highlands) and is a protective dual purpose oil for both skin and hair care. My Abby is Ecocert approved, cold-pressed and GMO free. All formulas are patented.
